Priest Responsible for St. Nicholas

Canon Barry Naylor, the Urban Canon for Leicester, is the Priest Responsible for St. Nicholas.

Following a meeting with a young Filipino Christian last year, Canon Barry Naylor became involved with the situation in the Philippines, in relation to human rights abuses including murder and torture. Even local priests and lay people have not been spared. This culminated in Barry visiting the Philippines in August 2005.

The National Council of Churches in the Philippines is working actively to stop these abuses, and is appealing for funds to help continue its work. Barry's experiences can be read here
